Program: Criminal Justice
The subject of this course is an evolution of forms of law enforcement, starting with the ancient systems, where individuals, families, and clans took it upon themselves to take revenge against those who may have injured or offended them, through ad hoc police forces and early constable systems to the idea of modern, professional, uniformed police force.
