Objective: 
This course aims to describe and analyse certain aspects of the public administration in selected European countries as well as administration of the European Union. It deals with the legal framework within which administration operates and the solutions which are offered to political, social, and economic problems.

The aim:
to acquaint students with critical notions, principles, values, theories and models in the field of public administration
to provide fundamentals of administrative law
to provide fundamentals of administrative policies

Acquired knowledge:
students have knowledge of the legal framework within which public administration operates
students have knowledge of the solutions which are offered by public administration to political, social, and economic problems

Acquired skills:
students are able to apply provisions of administrative law
students are able to systematize and assess solutions of political, economic and social problems
students are able to compare responses to common or similar subjects and issues in different countries and in the EU

Developed reflection:
students are able to present and defend in public their position regarding public administration and administrative policies
students understand the need of improve and update their knowledge

Assessment: 
The final grade consists of: exam ( 50%), term paper ( 30 % ), class activity ( 20% ).
