The final grade consists of: exam ( 50 %), term paper ( 20 % ), class activity ( 30% ).

Public law – private law distinction. Branches of law. Common law system and civil law system.
System of government. The separation of powers. Characteristics of the UK constitution. Characteristics of US constitution. Constitutions all over the world.
Rule of law.
Human rights.
The EU: historical introduction and institutions.
Contract law. Types of agreements. Negotiating and drafting. Standard contractual clauses.
The discharge of a contract. Remedies for breach of contract.
Tort law.
