Objective:

This course aims to describe and analyze certain aspects of the administrative legal environment of business and administrative procedures. It deals with functions and tasks of public administration (regulatory, supervisory) towards business as well as types and main features of administrative procedures.

The aim:

to acquaint students with certain aspects of the administrative legal environment of business.
to acquaint students with main features of domestic and European administrative procedures regarding business.

Acquired knowledge:

students students have knowledge of functions and tasks of public administration regarding business.
students have knowledge of main features of administrative procedures and judicial protection against administrative action.
students have knowledge of organizational issues (administrative agencies).

Acquired skills:

students are able to analize and apply provisions of administrative law.
students are able to systematize and assess administrative provisions regarding business.
students are able to assess administrative policies towards business.

Developed reflection:

students understand the need of improve and update their knowledge.
students are able to present and defend in public their position regarding public administration and administrative policies towards business.

Assessment:

The final grade consists of: exam ( 70% ), term papers ( 20% ), class activity ( 10% ).

Administrative law as a legal environment of running business.
Functions and tasks of public administration. Regulatory and supervisory function.
Administrative agencies.
General principles of administrative procedure. Domestic and the EU perspective.
First instance procedure.
Second instance procedure and judicial review.
European provisions on administrative procedures. Selected types of procedures.
