Program: Criminal Justice
1. Elements of Public (International and European) Law: subjects and sources; public international law, European Union law, domestic law and their mutual relations; applicability of international legal norms in domestic law.
2. Elements of Administrative Law: the aim of the course is to present the basic features of administrative law, its general principles, how to understand them and how to apply them in criminal cases.The case study method will be used in this course.
3. Elements of Civil Law:
private law v. public law;
subjects of private law;
contractual capacity – introductory remarks and basic notions;
the notion of contract; formation (form) of contracts;
the doctrine of consideration; privity of contract;
interpretation of contracts;
liability for a breach of contract vs tortious liability;
damage and damages;
tort law – comparative remarks;
private law and EU law with regards to consumer protection.
