The purpose of the lecture is to outline the normative grounds and the practice of the system of rehabilitation of adult convicts and the system of handling juvenile delinquents.
It outlines the tools of creative and socially acceptable forms of influencing the convicts, in accordance with the accepted goals of criminal sanctions and educational and corrective measures.
The dogmatic considerations are supported with a presentation of current practice with regard to the execution of the penalty of imprisonment and corrective measures, together with the newest rehabilitation programmes.
The lecture contains a presentation of the problems related to individualisation of punishment, to effectiveness of modern forms of corrective influence and to diagnosing the perpetrators.
