Objective: <\/strong>
General course on internal market law and free movement of goods, persons, services and capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim:
To provide basic knowledge of the European economic model and the division of competences between EU and the Member States in the sphere of economy.
To provide basic knowledge of relations between law and economy in shaping the process of European integration and function of case law in this area.
To provide basic knowledge of individual\u2019s economic rights in EU and opportunities to take part in cross-border movement of production factors as well as products.
To provide basic knowledge of the notion, characteristics of the Internal Market\u2019s freedoms \u2013 rules of application and exemptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acquired knowledge:
Student has knowledge of the European economic model, its genesis and characteristics of the regulatory model.
Student has knowledge of the sources of internal market law and their means of application.
Student has knowledge of the freedoms of Internal Market and of the relevant secondary regulations.
Student has knowledge of the relations between internal law and EU law in the economic sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acquired skills:
Student is able to identify the relevant law and provide solution to a case study taking into account economic and global considerations.
Student is able to reach de lege lata and de lege ferenda conclusions.
Student understands relations between Internal Market regulations \u2013 potentials collisions, lacunae and alternative solutions.
Student is able to take advantage of legal instruments of individuals rights protection in the area of free movement on a basic level utilizing case-law and the doctrine theory of law.
Student is able to publicly presents his\/her analysis of the Internal Market-related problem including genesis and dynamics of a given process as well as alternative solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed reflection:
Student understands impact of the Internal Marker regulations on the market and the society and recognizes its legal, economic and political implications.
Student is able to initiate and engage in discussion on the Internal Market and European economic model
Student is capable of independent and critical thinking and have practical approach towards solving legal, social, economic and political dilemmas in the area of economic law, aware of their multi-faceted relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessment: <\/strong>
The final grade consists of: exam, term papers, class activity, student own work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Idea of harmonisation and mutual recognition.
Internal Market law \u2013 basic principles, scope, and specificity.
Scope of Internal Market\u2019s freedoms \u2013 citizens, undertakings
Principle of non-discrimination based on nationality and principle of national treatment.
Free movement of persons and residence rights.
Notion of goods and free movement of goods.
Economic activities \u2013 scope and relations between freedom of establishment and freedom to provide services.
Free movement of payments and capital \u2013 possible limitations intra and extra EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
