Objective: <\/strong>
This course covers the fundamentals of antitrust law as well as the underlyinglegal and economic theory<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim:
Understanding of legal and economic foundations of antitrust system<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acquired knowledge:
Student have knowledge of the role of competition in the economy on the basis of main economic theories
Student have knowledge of legal tools countering horizontal restraints of trade among competitors such as cartels, oligopolies, joint ventures, and other cooperative activities
Student have knowledge of legal tools countering vertical restraints of trade between suppliers and customers such as resale price maintenance, territorial and customer restrictions, tying arrangements, exclusive dealing contracts
Student have knowledge of legal tools countering monopoly and dominant firm conduct<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acquired skills:
Student is able to utilize knowledge to provide assessment of a given situation from a competition law standpoint
Student is able to identify the anti-competitive conduct and propose the measures of counteraction<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Developed reflection:
Student is able to publicly presents his\/her analysis of a competition related problem
Student understands relations between competition law and overall competitiveness of the market and the society<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessment: <\/strong>
The final grade consists of: exam, term papers, case studies, class activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
